1. Service Description
DutyDesk is an informational tool that provides estimated import duty calculations based on publicly available data from U.S. government sources including the USITC Harmonized Tariff Schedule, Federal Register, CBP, and USTR. All calculations are estimates for planning purposes only.
2. Not Professional Advice
DutyDesk is not a licensed customs broker, freight forwarder, attorney, or trade consultant. The platform does not provide customs brokerage services as defined by 19 U.S.C. § 1641 or CBP Ruling HQ H350722. Users are solely responsible for verifying all duty rates and classification decisions with a licensed customs broker before filing any customs entry.
3. Data Accuracy
Tariff rules change frequently. While we strive to keep data current by monitoring official government sources, DutyDesk makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information displayed. Rate calculations may not reflect recent regulatory changes, product-specific rulings, special trade programs, or other factors affecting actual duty liability.
4. Acceptable Use
DutyDesk may only be used for lawful purposes. You may not use the platform to facilitate tariff evasion, customs fraud, or any violation of applicable trade laws. Users are responsible for compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
5. Subscription and Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal in Settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DutyDesk and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to losses resulting from reliance on duty estimates that prove inaccurate.
7. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
